ANALYSIS
Groves was one of several players the Bills brought in for workouts Monday, ultimately signing the 31-year-old for added depth at outside linebacker. Since being selected in the second round by the Jaguars in 2008, Groves has spent time with six organizations, accruing 9.5 career sacks in 100 games. He'll aim to earn a reserve role for the Bills to open 2015.

Groves had his best season in 2012 registering 46 tackles, four sacks, and one forced fumble. He follows his former defensive coordinator to Cleveland this season and should be familiar with the system. He will compete for a spot as an outside linebacker, but is most likely to be a reserve with Jabaal Sheard, Paul Kruger, and first-round rookie Barkevious Mingo all ahead of him on the depth chart.
Had 19 tackles in 2011, and is currently listed as the No. 3 right outside linebacker. He provides little in terms of fantasy value.
Groves is a versatile player who could see time at both linebacker and defensive end. He'll likely open the season as a reserve but could work his way into a few different formations.
Groves should start at defensive end in 2009, and will be given plenty of opportunity to live up to the pass-rushing talent he showed in college.
Groves is in contention for a starting DE spot, and could rack up a few sacks given enough playing time.
