It's easy to dismiss all of the positive talk regarding Henry, given how often he's burned the Bengals, but when things are right, he's a pretty dangerous No. 3 wideout and in spite of all the team's troubles, there is some upside to be had here with the return of a healthy Carson Palmer. Moreover, it's hard to know exactly the what the Bengals will be getting from Chad Johnson this season, so Henry, who has shown some nice red zone skills in the past, does have a chance to slide into a good situation with a break or two his way.
Henry was suspended for the first eight games of the 2007 season, so he'll have limited fantasy value in all but the deepest of keeper leagues. If he can come back at full speed and strength, he might be an interesting midseason pickup.
Henry is an enigma. He has the physical talent to be as good as any Bengal receiver, including perinnial Pro Bowler Chad Johnson. On the other hand, Henry has been arrested four times in the past seven months so may face either legal or league-sanctioned discipline this season that could cause him to miss time. Last year Henry led all rookies with six touchdown receptions in limited time as the Bengals third wideout, and if his life stabilizes enough for him to hold onto that position this year he should put up even better numbers as a sophomore. His off-the-field issues make him too unpredictable to bank on, but his talent is such that he is worth keeping an eye on as a potential producer once the season starts.
Henry is in a three-way battle with veterans Peter Warrick and Kelly Washington for playing time as the third receiver in the stacked Bengals receiving corps. The rookie has ideal size and skills to be a deep threat/red zone receiver, if he is able to get enough time on the field.
