He battled through plantar fasciitis most of last season only to tear an MCL in Week 17. Once he gets healthy he might get a look from another club, but at 33 it could be the end of the road for him.

Starting left guard is aging but steady, and will provide some continuity for a Dallas offensive line working in some younger players.

Starting right tackle isn't Pro Bowl caliber like some of his Cowboys linemates, but he's effective enough.

A foot injury cut short Kosier's season, and he'll have to fend off some younger linemen to keep his starting left guard spot.

Kosier was a jack-of-all-trades last season for the 49ers starting at multiple positions due to injuries. In 2004, he will open the year as the team's starting right guard but will probably give way to second-round pick Justin Smiley midway through the season.
