Opting out of bowl, turning pro
Davis-Price announced Friday via his personal Twitter account that he won't play in LSU's Jan. 4 Texas Bowl matchup versus Kansas State and will forgo his remaining eligibility to enter the 2022 NFL Draft.
ANALYSIS
Davis-Price finished out the regular season with a career-high 211 carries for 1,004 yards and four rushing scores. Altogether, the junior running back completed his tenure with the Tigers with 379 carries for 1,744 yards and 15 rushing scores to go with 28 receptions for 185 yards. Corey Kiner and Armoni Goodwin appear to be the likely candidates to lead the LSU backfield in the bowl game.

2021 Fantasy Outlook
Tyrion Davis-Price was the leading rusher for the Tigers in 2020, though he essentially split carries with classmate John Emery, Jr. While Davis-Price did have two 100-yard outputs to his credit last season along with three touchdowns on the ground, he managed just 4.3 yards per carry and finished with just 446 rushing yards. Davis-Price also has yet to prove his capabilities as a pass catcher out of the backfield, as he snagged just eight passes for 47 yards in nine games played in 2020. The aforementioned Emery was equally mediocre in a disappointing season for the Tigers, though, so the timeshare is likely to continue to begin the 2021 campaign.
