Fails to keep up at scrimmage
Tinsley completed 11 of 19 pass attempts for 127 yards and an interception in Saturday's scrimmage, the Moscow-Pullman Daily News reports.
ANALYSIS
As a redshirt senior, Tinsley is approaching his final season, and final chance, to see serious playing time with the Cougars. However, his main competition is in the same boat as Anthony Gordon is also a redshirt senior and Gage Gubrud is a graduate transfer with only one season of eligibility remaining. Gubrud sat out Saturday as he continues to work his way back from an injury, and Gordon outperformed Tinsley to a tune of 14-for-23 passing with 138 yards, four touchdowns and zero picks. Tinsley still has time to make up the lost ground before the season opener Aug. 31 against New Mexico State, but it's hard to not give the slight edge to Gordon after Saturday's performances.
