Toa Taua

After Carson Strong’s graduation to the NFL, the Wolf Pack offense is facing some question marks. Fortunately, the ground game shouldn’t be one of them, as Taua carries four years of experience and playing time with him into 2022. The tailback has logged over 100 carries all four seasons at Nevada, and barring an injury, that shouldn’t change for his final season of eligibility. Taua is a compact runner that also catches passes out of the backfield, making him a valuable, three-down back for the Wolf Pack. His backfield mate, Devonte Lee, also brings four years of experience into 2022 and should lighten the load on Taua. Taua is the more proven pass catcher, however, and has only improved in that category since his freshman year. Look for what could potentially be a shaky Wolf Pack passing game to rely on Taua’s legs in 2022.
