Pledger has declared for the 2022 NFL Draft but will take part in the Utes' Rose Bowl appearance versus Ohio State, per a post on his personal Twitter account.
ANALYSIS
Pledger finished 2021 with a career-high 97 carries for 671 yards and six touchdowns during the 2021 campaign. He figures to see a handful of carries in the Rose Bowl as well before turning his sites toward preparing for his pro career. Pledger is unlikely to find much of a role as a running back at the next level, so he will likely need to prove himself as a special teams asset to hold down a roster spot in the NFL.
