Tim Cornett

In his junior season, Cornett went for 1,232 yards and seven touchdowns on 242 attempts while also adding 108 yards receiving. His 94.77 yards per game ranked Cornett 37th nationally. However, despite carrying the ball 104 more times than teammate Bradley Randle, Cornett finished behind him in rushing touchdowns with seven compared to Randle’s eight. No longer does Cornett have Randle stealing goal-line touches (Randle signed with the Minnesota Vikings), but an injury to Cornett opened the door for Northwestern transfer Adonis Smith to make a name for himself in this year’s spring game. Cornett will return as starter in 2013, but Smith could earn himself a share of the touches by continuing to look strong this summer.
