Tanner Mordecai

Mordecai transferred to Wisconsin in order to prove that he could replicate the gaudy numbers he posted at SMU — 7,152 yards and 72 touchdowns over the past two seasons — at the highest level of college football. Mordecai has been the unquestioned starter since he stepped on campus, and he’ll join a Wisconsin team that’s completely revamped their offense under new coordinator Phil Longo. The Badgers are set to operate in Longo’s pass-heavy air raid and move away from their traditional run-first, pro style offense. How smooth that transition will be remains to be seen, but it certainly looks like Wisconsin has the personnel to deploy one of the most dangerous offenses in the Big Ten. With plenty of experience returning on the offense line, a dynamic one-two backfield punch in Braelon Allen and Chez Mellusi, as well as an influx of talented wide receivers via the transfer portal, Mordecai has all of the weapons to facilitate an explosive offense.
