Headed to FCS school
Duncan (foot) announced Tuesday via his personal Twitter account that he will transfer to FCS Tarleton State as a graduate transfer from Western Kentucky.
ANALYSIS
After a foot injury ended his 2019 season in Week 3, Duncan was widely viewed as the frontrunner to open the 2020 campaign as Western Kentucky's top quarterback. Instead, he elected to part ways with the program in April, though he leaves the Hilltoppers with his degree in hand. Duncan will head to the FCS school as a fifth-year senior, though he expects to receive a medical waiver from the NCAA on account of last year's injury that would allow him to play two years at Tarleton State. Western Kentucky, meanwhile, is expected to stage a competition between a number of unproven signal-callers during camp before naming a starter for the Sept. 5 season opener versus Chattanooga.
