Beckham will enter the 2014 NFL Draft, the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.

ANALYSIS
Beckham's breakout junior season saw him make 59 receptions for 1,152 yards and eight touchdowns. The wideout topped 100 yards in five games, including a 204-yard outburst against lowly Furman in late October. The news of Beckham turning pro is not very surprising, as he'd been tipped as an early-round pick for most of this season. At 6-0, 187, Beckham uses blazing speed and reliable hands to make his mark, and could also be used in return situations as well, making Panthers receiver Steve Smith a close comparison at the pro level.

LSU returns nearly its entire receiving corps from last season, with senior Russell Shepard as the only departure. Beckham Jr. led the team with 713 yards (16.6 yards per catch) but only found the endzone twice. With the Tigers looking to open up the passing game in 2013, Beckham Jr. could emerge as one of the top receivers in the SEC. He’s also a valuable return threat, as he brought two punts back for scores last season.

Beckham figures to be the best bet to replace Rueben Randle as LSU’s top receiver in 2012. He made a good impression as a freshman last year, catching 41 passes for 475 yards and two touchdowns. With Randle gone and the emergence of quarterback Zach Mettenberger, Beckham is a player who should be owned in SEC-only leagues and monitored closely outside of them, too.
