Declares for NFL Draft
Carter has declared for the 2025 NFL Draft, according to his announcement Friday.
ANALYSIS
Carter will forgo his last year of collegiate eligibility for the NFL. The running back began his career as part of UConn's 2021 team, which got at least 700 all-purpose yards and multiple touchdowns from him. 2022 was his worst year, in which he redshirted and still logged 400-plus rushing yards with a touchdown. Transferring to Michigan State was how he got his shine. 2023 saw Carter record his career high in carries (185) and rushing yards (four). While those dipped in 2024, he logged a career-high seven touchdowns (five rushing and two receiving) across 12 games. Ideally for Carter, all that relatively consistent production will be enough to get him selected by an NFL team.
