Mike Harley

Mike Harley used a big second half of 2020 to emerge as the ‘Canes go-to receiver, a role he’ll look to reprise in his final collegiate season. Through five games, Harley had only 17 catches for 174 yards and a touchdown, but closed the year with 40 grabs, 625 yards and six scores. He’s not likely to do so, but if you double that second half production across this year’s 12-game schedule, the appeal becomes very obvious. Harley lacks size, but can make contested catches and turn short throws into big plays. He clearly has quarterback D’Eriq King’s trust, and most of the talent behind him has struggled mightily with drops, further helping Harley’s target share. He should see less defensive coverage in 2021 as well with Oklahoma transfer Charleston Rambo impressing in the spring and set to start opposite, offering Miami a deep threat. Miami hasn’t had a 1,000 yard receiver since 2013, and Harley needs the stars to align to get there. But there’s a chance.
