Heading for draft after CFP
Duggan announced Sunday via his personal Twitter account that he will enter the 2023 NFL Draft once TCU concludes its postseason.
ANALYSIS
Duggan had another year of collegiate eligibility remaining, but he'll instead take his talents to the next level coming off a season in which he finished as the runner-up for the Heisman Trophy to USC's Caleb Williams. After losing out to Chandler Morris in fall camp for the Horned Frogs' starting quarterback job, Duggan replaced an injured Morris in Week 1 and proceeded to turn in a season for the ages. He helped lead TCU to a 12-1 record while completing 64.9 percent of his throws for 9.0 yards per attempt and a 30:4 TD:INT to go with 404 yards and six scores on the ground. Duggan and the Horned Frogs will return to action Dec. 31 against Michigan in the Fiesta Bowl in a semifinal matchup of the College Football Playoff.

Duggan will take part in a quarterback competition with younsters Chandler Morris and Sam Jackson this fall. Duggan is the savy veteran as a three-year starter while Morris and Jackson have flashed early in their college careers in limited snaps. New head coach Sonny Dykes brings a dynamic offense from SMU and will need a dynamic quarterback to make it work. Morris likely has more upside from what he showed in an upset of Baylor last season, but Duggan brings proven improvement in his three years with the Horned Frogs. In 10 games last season, Duggan completed 63.9 percent of his passes for 2,048 yards and 16 touchdowns versus just six interceptions to go along with 352 yards and three touchdowns on the ground. Whether it's Duggan, Morris or Jackson at the helm, the TCU quarterback will have significant fantasy relevance.
