Not playing in bowl game
Not Injury Related
December 22, 2021
Borghi will not play in the team's upcoming bowl game on Dec. 31 against Miami, Colton Clark of the Spokesman-Review reports.
ANALYSIS
This comes as little surprise after Borghi announced last week that he would enter in the 2022 NFL Draft. Deon McIntosh and Nakia Watson are next in line for carries against the Hurricanes.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2020
2019
Washington State is moving on from Mike Leach, and that means things could look very different for Borghi this season. Nick Rolovich and his pass-happy system is now in Pullman after a successful run at Hawai’i, but while his offense leans on the pass compared to the average college offense, it’s significantly more balanced than what Leach was running. Hawai’i called passing plays 61.5 percent of the time, good enough for fourth in the nation in 2019. Washington State led the nation in passing play percentage at 77.9 -- a full 14 percent more than the next-most pass-happy team (San Jose State). All of this is to say that Borghi stands to see a major increase in carries in 2020. He was effective with a 6.5 YPC mark and 11 touchdowns on 121 regular season carries last season. Hawaii’s leading rusher had 174 carries, for comparison. Borghi may see a fairly steep dropoff in targets, however, and that effects his PPR upside. Still, he won’t completely disappear from the passing game, and his rushing increase should result in Borghi turning in start-worthy fantasy production every week
Borghi is ready to take on the starting job following James Williams’ departure, and what he showed as a freshman in 2018 gives reason to believe he can be one of the PAC-12’s best. He scored touchdowns on 11 percent of his carries while averaging 5.1 YPC and also showed the adeptness in the passing game --including 53 receptions on 68 targets -- that will keep him on the field in Mike Leach’s offense. The rushing totals won’t be gaudy but Borghi will be efficient and his pass-catching ability will make him a valuable commodity, especially in PPR formats.
