Schaub returned against Wake Forest after missing three weeks with a shoulder injury and was 30 of 45 for 326 and three touchdowns. However, he threw three interceptions which is natural cause for concern.

Schaub returned to practice this week after missing three weeks with a separated throwing shoulder, but Coach Al Groh said he needs to see more before deciding whether Schaub will play Saturday against Wake Forest, the Washington Post reports.

Although he didn't suit up, Schaub made the trip last weekend to Western Michigan and tossed some 25-yard passes during pregame warm-ups. "I think it's significant in that he's throwing them as opposed to not," Cavaliers coach Al Groh told the Daily Press. "I don't know if he was throwing passes or lobbing the ball, but just that he's utilizing an overhand motion certainly would be significant progress as opposed to still having his arm in a sling. I think nature's going to tell us what the time frame is."

There isn't any definitive timetable for Schaub's return from a separated right shoulder. Schaub told reporters Saturday that his injury is getting better and coach Al Groh reiterated that it's a "day-to-day" issue as far as progressing towards a practice return, The Sports Xchange repots.

It's unknown how serious Schaub's shoulder is injured, but he is out of this week's game against South Carolina, The Sports Xchange reports.
