Malcolm Brown

Brown led the Longhorns in carries and rushing yards in his 2011 freshman campaign. While his rushing numbers were strong (172 carries, 742 yards, five touchdowns), he wasn't any sort of threat in the passing game, hauling in a mere three receptions for 17 yards in 10 games. While Brown was the full-time starter in 2011 – averaging 17.2 carries per game while no one else averaged more than 6.6 carries per game – he goes into 2012 not being sure of his role. Joe Bergeron averaged 6.4 yards per carry as a freshman and could take carries from him. On top of that, five-star recruit Johnathan Gray comes in and could demand playing time, as well.
