While his 2023 output has slipped somewhat, McCammon still recorded 149 carries for 681 yards (4.6 averaged per carry) and five TDs. The senior will look to do what he did with Florida Atlantic for an NFL team, though he will not be a top dog at his position right away.

2023 Fantasy Outlook
Given a key role for the first time in his time with Florida Atlantic, McCammon responded with an 1,000-yard season wherein he averaged 5.2 yards per carry. Perhaps looking to cash in, McCammon entered the transfer portal. Or maybe he was concerned that the Owls have a new head coach, even if that head coach is Tom Herman. In the end, though, the senior withdrew his name and returned to Florida Atlantic for another season. It remains to be seen how the run game fits into Herman’s plans, but McCammon is the likely top back once again. The second and third backs from 2022, Zuberi Mobley and Johnny Ford, are also back, but they couldn’t overtake McCammon, and nothing has changed. In fact, Mobley’s carries dropped as the season went on. The Owls are moving up to the AAC, but it’s well within reasonable expectations to think McCammon will hit 1,000 yards again.
