Gets sixth year of eligibliity
Anderson recently revealed that the NCAA granted him a sixth year of eligibility, allowing him to compete in 2019, Alan Blondin of The Myrtle Beach Sun News reports.
ANALYSIS
Anderson has spent the past two seasons at Coastal Carolina, appearing in 15 games and starting six. Prior to that, he opened his college career in 2014 at Fresno State before moving on to New Mexico Military Institute in 2016 and sitting out that same year due to injury. With the waiver in tow, Anderson, who earned his undergraduate degree in 2018, will look to play his final season elsewhere after entering the transfer portal following coach Joe Moglia's decision to resign from Coastal Carolina in January. His departure leaves underclassmen Fred Payton and Bryce Carpenter to compete for the Chanticleers' starting quarterback job.
