2022 Fantasy Outlook
Smith looks to take on a much larger role with the Hokies heading into 2022, as he is one of the more experienced wide receivers on the team. Smith has been with Virginia Tech for four seasons, and had an impressive season for the team last year. The wideout had his best season to date, finishing with 20 receptions, 260 yards and two touchdowns. The former walkon was behind wide receivers Tre Turner and Tayvion Robinson, but with both players exiting the team, Smith will get the opportunity to possibly step into the WR1 role. The only other experienced wide receiver accompanying Smith is transfer Jadan Blue, and both will expect to see lots of playing time this season.
