December 5, 2014
Hardy caught 12 passes for 140 yards and one touchdown against Central Florida on Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Hardy put his team ahead on a 13-yard touchdown grab with 2:17 remaining in the game, only to see Central Florida storm back and win it on a last-second Hail Mary pass. It wasn't how Hardy envisioned ending his final regular season, but his time at East Carolina — which began as a walk-on — can be viewed as a success as he holds the NCAA record for career receptions.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2014
2013
2012
Hardy has one of the highest floors among wide receivers, boasting 266 career receptions, including 114 last year. He is consistent week to week, scoring or posting 100 yards in 10 games last year, finishing with 1,284 yards (11.3 YPC) and eight touchdowns in 13 games. Hardy (6-0, 186) also has star quarterback Shane Carden back this season, but East Carolina spreads the ball around a lot, and Hardy's ceiling is limited by the presence of Isaiah Jones, Bryce Williams and Davon Grayson.
Hardy has been excellent in his first two years at East Carolina, and he should be in for his best campaign yet in 2013. East Carolina brings back most of its offensive line and an impressive quarterback in Shane Carden, a player who totaled 22 touchdown passes in 11 starts last year. While East Carolina's quick-pass offense probably won't give Hardy many chances to go deep, his lack of week-to-week upside is more than offset by his extreme consistency. He surpassed 100 yards or scored in all but two of his 13 games from last year. With 152 catches in 24 career games, rank Hardy higher in PPR.
Give Hardy a boost in your PPR rankings, as he caught 64 passes last year, but his upside is a bit limited (10.3 YPC), and his starting quarterback from last year is gone. Hardy didn’t hit 100 yards a single time last year, so he looks like a moderate-floor, low-ceiling option.
