Out for bowl game

December 22, 2015
Doctson (wrist) won't play in TCU's upcoming bowl game against Oregon, Carlos Mendez of the Fort Worth Star Telegram reports.
ANALYSIS
This is a disappointing yet unsurprising development for Doctson, who would have had to rush his rehab in order to get back on the field for the Alamo Bowl after undergoing wrist surgery and missing the final two games of the regular season. That said, Doctson still had a tremendous senior campaign with the Horned Frogs, leading the nation in receiving yards per game with 132.7 per contest to go with 14 receiving touchdowns. According to Mendez, Doctson simply didn't have enough time to get ready for the Alamo Bowl, which means his tenure with TCU has come to an end. TCU's offense hasn't had the same level of explosiveness without Doctson, but Kolby Listenbee and KaVontae Turpin will be ready to take on a featured role against the Ducks.

2015 Fantasy Outlook
Doctson is the most visible member of an explosive and feared TCU wideout group and likely will rank in the top 10 on some draft boards. It's understandable why the 6-3, 195-pound Doctson would be in high demand -- he's a legitimate No. 1 receiver in a high-scoring offense and the primary target of a quarterback (Trevone Boykin) who will throw a lot of touchdowns. However, Doctson might struggle to improve last year's numbers (65 receptions, 1,018 yards, 11 touchdowns) in an offense with plenty of receiving options, most notably Deante Gray and Kolby Listenbee, who combined for 1,335 yards and 12 touchdowns last year.
