Reed failed to become a reliable option at wideout in 2017, hauling in just 23 passes for 244 yards and two scores, although he has the potential to make an impact in his third season. While Olamide Zaccheaus is in line to serve as Virginia’s top wideout in 2018, Reed could challenge him for targets, especially with a new starting quarterback in place. The Cavaliers sport a 58.68 pass play percentage, so although there’s a lack of veteran experience within the offense, Reed could see enough targets to act as a strong handcuff for Zaccheaus. Virginia finished the season with a 6-7 record, meaning it often ends up airing it out in an attempt to come from behind, which could act in Reed’s favor.
