Card did not play during the second half of this blowout loss, which was the Boilermakers' most lopsided defeat in the 125-game series versus the Hoosiers. This marked the low point for what was an extremely disappointing 2024 campaign for Card, who completed 58.1 percent of his passes for 1,641 yards and nine touchdowns to seven interceptions in his second season at Purdue. With the Boilermakers eliminated from competing in a bowl game and after head coach Ryan Walters was fired Sunday, it's unlikely that Card will fit into the team's future at quarterback moving forward.
