Two touchdowns in win over Pitt
James was 20-for-28 passing for 253 yards and two touchdowns during Saturday's 34-23 win versus Pittsburgh. He also had five rushes for three yards.
ANALYSIS
James wraps up the regular season with another solid performance after taking over the starting job two weeks ago. James finishes the season with 901 yards, six touchdowns and two interceptions in five appearances. The Eagles are bowl eligible which gives James one more week of first team reps and plenty more prep. James has one year of eligibility left and would likely have a leg up in the QB competition if he decides to return to BC for his senior season.

2023 Fantasy Outlook
Mike McIntyre took over as Florida International’s head coach for 2022, and he turned the starting quarterback role over to James, a true sophomore he inherited. James was given a chance to show what he could do, with admittedly a bad roster around him, and it was a mixed bag at best. He finished the season throwing for 1,962 yards, 11 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. Notably, seven of those touchdowns came against Bryant and Louisiana Tech. The former is an FCS team, and the latter had what was probably the worst defense in the FBS. For the season finale, McIntyre let Haden Carlson get a start. He too was a mixed bag, but against Middle Tennessee State he threw for 414 yards, four touchdowns, and four interceptions. Does James even have the lead in this battle? If he does, how short is his proverbial leash? Perhaps the biggest question for fantasy-minded folks, does it even matter? In a new-look Conference USA featuring two teams fresh from the FCS, quite possibly.
