2023 Fantasy Outlook
Hardison’s job is game managing. The Miners are built on defense and running the ball and Hardison is the guy under center. Even in that surprise 2021 campaign that saw UTEP make a bowl game, Hardison only threw the ball 357 times for 3,218 yards, 18 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions across 13 outings. He’s not an accurate quarterback, nor is he prolific. Hardison is the kind of guy who finishes a game with like 180 yards through the air and a touchdown, maybe with a pick. And yet, here he is. He’s still the starting quarterback for the Miners. Nobody is around to challenge him, and he’ll be back there under center trying to avoid costing his team the game. This is his job, and he’s done it adequately for two years. At a school like UTEP, that’s enough to stay atop the quarterback depth chart, evidently. For fantasy players, it makes him irrelevant.
