Forgoing final year at Arizona State
Benjamin announced Wednesday via his personal Instagram account that he'll forgo his senior season at Arizona State and enter the 2020 NFL Draft.
ANALYSIS
After breaking out as a sophomore in 2018, Benjamin took a step back as a junior but was still one of the Pac-12's top backs, finishing the regular season with 1,083 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns while chipping in 42 receptions for 347 yards and two more scores. Benjamin hasn't indicated whether he'll play in the Sun Devils' upcoming Sun Bowl matchup with Florida State on Dec. 31, but the expectation is that he'll sit out the contest in order to avoid an injury heading into the draft, per Rivals.com. With Isaiah Floyd entering the transfer portal in October, A.J. Carter (15 carries for 38 yards, two receptions for 25 yards) is the only running back other than Benjamin on the Arizona State roster who has recorded a touch this season.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2019
2018
One of the breakout stars of 2018, Benjamin enters 2019 with lofty expectations after posting the third-most rushing yards in the nation with 1,524 to go with 15 touchdowns. Benjamin possesses strong burst and open field agility that make him a strong big-play threat, as evidenced by his 14 rushes of at least 20 yards last season. His workload projection is ironclad, too; only Wisconsin’s Jonathan Taylor had more carries among returning running backs. Benjamin’s combination of skill and hefty workload make him an elite fantasy option with both a high floor and a high ceiling.
