Despite the less-than stellar team record, the sophomore running back came into his own and showed his nose for the end zone during the 2024 campaign, running for 614 yards and 12 touchdowns through 12 games. Barring a decision to transfer, Dowdell will be expected to be a big time contributor for the Cornhuskers heading into the 2025 season.
