Heading to NFL
Gray announced Thursday via his personal Twitter account that he will forgo his remaining eligibility at SMU to enter the 2022 NFL Draft.
ANALYSIS
Gray didn't reveal whether he's opting out of SMU's Dec. 29 Fenway Bowl game against Virginia, but given that he was sidelined with a leg injury to conclude the regular season, he's unlikely to take any risks with his health in an exhibition game. The wideout enjoyed a superb two-year run at SMU, highlighted by a 2021 senior campaign in which he caught 49 of 72 targets for 803 yards and nine touchdowns. The senior has good size at 6-foot-2 and good speed to go with it. He likely projects as a Day 3 selection with room to improve his stock at the Senior Bowl.
