Back in action during spring
Grundy (knee) was on the field during Texas-San Antonio's spring program and will be one of five quarterbacks battling for the starting job heading into the 2019 season, Greg Luca of the San Antonio Express-News reports.
ANALYSIS
Grundy, a rising senior, returns as the Roadrunners' most experienced option under center after appearing in nine games last season, starting seven of them while completing 50.5 percent of his passes for 989 yards, five touchdowns and three interceptions. He missed UTSA's final three games with an MCL sprain, but he looks like he'll face no restrictions heading into the upcoming campaign. After the Roadrunners ranked last in the FBS in total offense in 2018, Grundy probably maintains the most marginal of edges in the starting competition, which also includes sophomore Frank Harris, redshirt freshman Jordan Weeks, incoming sophomore transfer Lowell Narcisse and incoming freshman Suddin Sapien.

2019 Fantasy Outlook
Grundy was one of four quarterbacks to see real playing time in 2018 for the Roadrunners. Now, he finds himself in a five-man fight to be the starter in 2019. Given recently history, it seems likely that he will at least see the field. He also probably will have to share the backfield with at least another quarterback. Somebody may grab this job and run with it in 2019, and maybe that will be Grundy. He was the best of an uninspiring bunch last season, especially when you throw in the work he did with his legs.
