Schlee took over in the third quarter after a Drones interception with the Hokies already down 21-7 was apparently the last straw. Schlee, who started against Syracuse with Drones absent, wasn't much better. While he did throw a touchdown, it came with the game essentially out of reach already. The Kent State transfer is currently the front-runner to fill the hole left by Dorian Thompson-Robinson. Schlee had an excellent junior season, compiling 2,109 yards with a 13:5 TD/INT ratio with the Golden Flashes. Although Schlee comes in with a lot of experience, the quarterback situation could get interesting if the Bruins struggle early. Blue-chip prospect Dante Moore had an impressive spring camp and could emerge as a challenge for Schlee, but with three years of college play under his belt, the senior should get the first shot.
