Brenton Strange

Strange is entering his fifth season with Penn State and figures to provide veteran leadership to the team’s balanced corps of tight ends. The redshirt junior started all 13 games for the Nittany Lions last season en route to All-Big Ten honorable mention honors. Strange just narrowly led Penn State’s group of tight ends across all major statistical categories in 2021, hauling in 20 of his 40 targets for 225 yards and three touchdowns. Sophomores Theo Johnson and Tyler Warren will once again command snaps and attention at tight end, but this group of pass catchers should see an all-around bigger role after the departure of Jahan Dotson, who was the team’s leading receiver in each of the past two seasons.
