Removed from two-deep
Hicks isn't listed on Arkansas' two-deep depth chart ahead of Saturday's game against Western Kentucky, Thomas Murphy of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports.
ANALYSIS
After drawing the start in Saturday's 54-24 loss to Mississippi State, Hicks now finds himself no better than third on the depth chart as the 2-7 Razorbacks turn their focus to developing younger options under center. To that end, redshirt freshman John Stephen Jones and true freshman K.J. Jefferson now occupy the first and second spots, leaving graduate transfers Hicks and Nick Starkel to merely serve as depth options as Arkansas plays out the string. Hicks' reunion with former SMU coach Chad Morris in Arkansas hasn't proven effective, as the signal-caller has only completed 48.5 percent of his passes for 5.6 yards per attempt, two touchdowns and two interceptions in six games.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2019
2018
Hick is a graduate transfer from SMU who will get to reunite with the coach that recruited him to the Mustangs, Chad Morris, who is now in charge of the Razorbacks. Hicks brings a wealth of experience to a quarterback position that was downright dreadful for the Hogs in 2018. Hicks has thrown for at least 2,500 yards and 19 touchdowns in each of the past three seasons with the Mustangs. Another transfer, Nick Starkel, could also see some reps, but the odds are that Hicks will be the starter when the 2019 campaign begins.
