Moving on from college
Cupp announced Sunday via his personal Instagram account that he will forgo his remaining eligibility at Texas Tech to enter the 2024 NFL Draft.
ANALYSIS
A fifth-year player this past fall, Cupp would have had at least one more season of eligibility available to him in 2024 if he had elected to return to college, but he's set to turn 24 years old in the spring and will instead get his professional career underway. A heralded tight-end recruit from the 2019 cycle, Cupp signed with Texas A&M but never recorded a reception for the Aggies after missing the 2019 and 2020 seasons due to injury and then appearing in 10 games without making a catch in 2021. He joined Texas Tech ahead of the 2022 season and produced a 23-246-4 receiving line on 35 targets over his two years with the program.
