Troy head coach Jon Sumrall announced Wednesday that Martin enrolled at the school for the spring semester and will be joining the program as a graduate transfer from Memphis, Matt Zenitz of On3.com reports.

Back in December, Martin announced that he would stick around in Memphis in 2023 for what would be his sixth and final year of eligibility, but his plans may have changed after the Tigers added a productive transfer running back in Blake Watson (Old Dominion) to the roster for the upcoming season. Troy will mark the fourth and final stop for Martin, who began his career at Auburn in 2018 before stops at Miami (Fla.) and Memphis. During his third and final year at Memphis in 2022, Martin accounted for 747 yards from scrimmage and eight touchdowns. He'll likely push incumbent starter Kimani Vidal for the leading role out of the Troy backfield in 2023.
