2024 Pass/Rush Projections
Exceeds 300 total yards
Bush completed 23 of his 39 pass attempts for 281 yards, a touchdown and an interception Saturday against Northwestern. He added 56 rushing yards on 16 carries.
ANALYSIS
Bush didn't really get the Illini offense into gear until the fourth quarter, notching just six points total through the first three. The senior's ability as a rusher allowed him to salvage his day somewhat from a fantasy perspective, and he finishes his final campaign with 1,413 passing yards and a 6:10 TD:IN ratio to go along with 733 rushing yards and eight touchdowns on 138 carries. There will likely be a competition in camp again during the spring and fall to determine the team's starting quarterback heading into 2019.

2018 Fantasy Outlook
Bush was pinned behind Josh Jackson at Virginia during the 2017 season and never rose above third on the depth chart in his time with Nebraska. After a couple of unsuccessful Division I stops in Lincoln and Blacksburg, Bush heads into his best situation yet in Champaign, where the quarterback situation is anything but resolved. Cam Thomas -- the only returning signal-caller from a season ago -- couldn't get it done as a passer despite his intriguing efforts on the ground. Bush will need to beat him out, along with a trio of freshman, to see his first significant action at the helm. While it's not out of the question, having just one shot at the gig versus a potential three-plus year starter with the other quarterback options means Bush will likely need to separate himself significantly in camp to justify turning his way.
