Turner might be the most intriguing prospect in the entire draft. A high school teammate of Chris Johnson (TEN) and Mike Sims-Walker in Florida, Turner might have been a high-ranking recruit if it weren't for his criminal history. According to Sims-Walker and the high school coach of the trio, Turner was the best player of the three. But Turner heads into the draft as a felon -- one with two knee ligament tears (including one ACL). Based on reports of Turner's arrest, he's around 26 years old, too. He spent five years in prison, starting at age 16, after shooting two individuals in a non-fatal fashion. Sims-Walker was actually with him at the time -- Turner was in a car with MSW when a nearby individual fired gunshots into the air. Turner claims to have mistakenly believed the fire was headed in his direction, and he shot back. There are at least two well done stories on Turner, including by the Santa Fe New Mexican and the Orlando Sentinel. In any case, Turner was impressive in the 2011 college football season, showing potential as both a running back and receiver. He ran for 1,074 yards and 10 touchdowns (4.9 YPC) and caught 46 passes for 514 yards and three touchdowns. Those numbers include a spectacular showing on the road against Georgia's SEC defense, a game in which he ran for 94 yards and a touchdown and caught eight passes for 127 yards and a touchdown. If he tests well in workouts and convinces teams he's not a character liability for something he did 10 years ago, Turner could turn some heads.
