January 6, 2012
Wilson will enter the 2012 NFL Draft, the Associated Press reports.
ANALYSIS
Wilson received a second-round grade from the NFL Draft Advisory Board, and we suspect that's the worst-case scenario for him. Wilson might be the most athletic running back in the draft and could put up some exceptional numbers in timed drills. With that said, despite being listed at only 5-foot-10, 205 pounds, Wilson also runs with impressive strength. He could stand to improve his vision a bit, but Wilson's explosiveness, strength and intensity as a runner should make him productive alone. He'll compete with Lamar Miller and Chris Polk to be the second running back off the board after running for 1,709 yards (5.9 YPC) and nine touchdowns in 2011.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2011
2010
Wilson is likely to be one of the nation’s most electric players in 2011. Ryan Williams deservedly got lots of hype at Virginia Tech, but Wilson might be even better. Even with Williams and Darren Evans around last year, Wilson still totaled 853 yards and nine touchdowns from scrimmage, not to mention two kickoff returns for touchdowns. Few running backs are more frightening in the open field.
Wilson will have to fight with Ryan Williams and Darren Evans for touches, but he's too superb of a talent to not demand his own significant place in the offense. He totaled 334 yards and four touchdowns while averaging 5.66 yards per carry last year, and the program should make a serious effort to lessen Williams' workload in 2010. He's a very good insurance pick in ACC-only leagues.
