Registers no yards from scrimmages
December 9, 2018
Abey went 0-for-4 with two interceptions and rushed six times for no yards with a lost fumble in the loss to Army on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Army was able to absolutely stifle the senior quarterback, who did more harm than good with three turnovers and zero yards from scrimmage. Eventually, that led to Garrett Lewis taking over at the position, which was good for the offense but a poor way for Abey to spend his last game in a Midshipman uniform. He ends his senior season with 125 carries for 306 yards and 14 touchdowns on the ground, with a 42.9 completion percentage and 246 yards, one touchdown and two picks through the air.

2017 Fantasy Outlook
Abey wasn't supposed to see the field last year, but injuries to senior starters Tago Smith and Will Worth opened the opportunity. He was caught off guard as a passer, throwing four interceptions in 35 attempts, but as a runner he was a natural. In rushing for 368 yards and six touchdowns (5.5 YPC) in the last four weeks, Abey proved a strong fit for Navy's triple-option. Running the ball that much makes Abey an injury risk, but the week-to-week upside should be huge. An offseason working as the starter should make him more polished in 2017.
