Not playing in Cotton Bowl
Magnifico announced Wednesday via his personal Twitter account that he will sit out Saturday's Cotton Bowl matchup with Penn State after experiencing a "very minor setback" with a knee infection.
ANALYSIS
While the unfortunate timing will prevent the star tight end from making one final appearance for Memphis during his senior season, Magnifico should be close to full strength this spring, when he'll be preparing for the 2020 NFL Draft. A former walk-on, Magnifico was a key weapon in the Tigers' passing attack the past three seasons, finishing with no fewer than 20 catches, 280 yards and two touchdowns in any of those campaigns.

2019 Fantasy Outlook
Despite only averaging 2.3 targets per game last year (which he translated to 1.8 catches per game), Magnifico still managed to rack up 363 yards, which was third on the team, as well as finding the end zone five times. While that makes him a boom-or-boost candidates in most daily formats, it could make him a cheap tight end option for anybody looking to use him in season-long formats in deeper leagues.
