2024 Pass/Rush Projections
Though no formal position switch has been announced for Streveler, the backup quarterback for Minnesota will start fall practice lining up at wide receiver, TwinCities.com reports.
ANALYSIS
That Streveler will open the fall at receiver doesn't come as much of a surprise, as the redshirt sophomore, who played in five games last season and finished 2014 as the backup to starting quarterback Mitch Leidner, spent time this summer working out as a pass catcher. Does this mean the 6-2, 227-pound Streveler is destined to play a new position come the start of the 2015 season? According to head coach Jerry Kill, the answer is no. "We may practice him a little bit [at wideout] to see what he does. But that doesn't mean we're going to play him at wide receiver; I just want to make that clear," Kill tells TwinCities.com. "Could he be used at that? He could be. But I haven't seen him."
