Tight ends are up next as we track risers and fallers during the pre-season. Running backs and wide receivers were covered over the past week. Most of the big names have remained consistent in their ADP's, but there is some major movement after the top-6 or so. Obviously, injuries are a huge factor here, so are owners mining sleepers who can make the jump to TE1 territory.

Risers
Richard Rodgers (+34.5) has gained the most since camp opened. A popular breakout target last season, Rodgers disappointed as a rookie, tallying just 20 receptions and two scores. Now, with Jordy Nelson lost for the season, his stock has risen along with Davante Adams, as fantasy owners scramble to get a piece of Green Bay's passing game.
Health is the biggest factor for Tyler Eifert (+28.4). I'd like to think getting named on my underrated list at the beginning of camp had an effect on his stock. More likely, Eifert is soaring due to a lack of depth at tight end, his pedigree, and the opportunity to finish as Cincinnati's No. 2 target behind AJ Green.
Another riser, Rams tight end Jared Cook (+23.4), was not getting drafted in most leagues two weeks ago. Cooks has become a more popular late-round flier after two pre-season games, even though the veteran has caught only one pass for three yards. His 4.49 speed at 6-5 has long intrigued the fantasy community, but never materialized into big numbers.
Jason Witten's rise (+26.2) is difficult to explain. The best I can figure -- many owners are tired of chasing upside and instead opting for consistency.
With fellow veteran Vernon Davis (+26.2), his disaster 2014 was such an obvious outlier, there must be some rebound. Not only that, but 49ers offensive coordinator Geep Chryst has quickened San Francisco's pace quite a bit this season. More plays equals more points for a former top-3 tight end who will only cost a pick in the 160 neighborhood.
Fallers
Josh Hill (-49.4) was the victim of major off-season hype following Jimmy Graham's trade from New Orleans to Seattle. Most people thought Hill would see the majority of Graham's tight end targets, especially in the redzone. When Ben Watson appeared atop the Saints depth chart in August, the air was let out of Hill's sails. It's telling, though, that Watson is still not getting drafted in most leagues, while Hill has upside appeal at an ADP of 167.3.
Maxx Williams (-43.3) is going through a similar process that many rookie wide receivers do. It's extremely difficult to walk into an NFL passing game and have a huge impact in the first year. Owners get excited about rookies after the draft, pushing them up fantasy rankings, but then reality sets in. Williams still has a ton of upside, so there is potential for him to pay waiver dividends later in the season, as he is no longer getting drafted regularly.
