Just a few things that caught my eye:
- Note to Joel Quenneville -- see what happens when you play Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews on the same line? Make it permanent, dude. It's a waste otherwise.
- Duncan Keith is the best puck-moving defender in the NHL. This is non-negotiable. You can try to change my mind, but it won't help.
- Is this the real Jakob Silfverberg? He is on a three-game assist streak and has 10 points, including eight helpers, in his last eight games. I'm almost ready to buy in.
- Why is it that the littlest of guys have the most net presence? Andrew Shaw is one irritating little tick in front of the blue paint. And it works. All 5-11 of him.
- Ryan Getzlaf and Ryan Kesler were a combined 7-for-28 in the faceoff circle. That's a measly 25 percent. Spit. You can't win like that.
- I'm not sure how the Hawks won that game. It felt like they were on the ropes and protecting the body for just about the whole last period. Bob, weave. Bob, weave.
- I think that the first time this series that Patrick Kane played dangle with the Ducks D. All I can say is, Do it again. I just want to watch.
- Ryan Kesler wasn't a factor Wednesday night; that won't be the case on Saturday. Home ice and last change means he'll be draped all over Jonathan Toews. Again.
