So I lost $2 last night to put my bankroll at $967. All of my players put up positive totals, and my pitcher (Lance Lynn) got a win, but zero home runs kept me a couple points out of the money.
When you lose by a couple points in a tournament, you wish you had played a 50/50, but I'd rather that than get the high score in a large 50/50. By contrast, if I'm out of the money, I'd rather see how low I can finish. Last week, I finished 814 out of 823 in one contest, and as Mike Salfino suggested on Twitter, you should win something for that too. Call it high/low DFS. Or they could roll out a contest where you have to spend at least $34,500 of your $35,000 budget and have to set a full lineup of players active that day where the lowest score wins. Seriously, I think people would play that game. How enjoyable to root for failure rather than success.
I'll probably take tonight off to get some real (NFL magazine) work done. But I'm not committing to that.
