I already wrote about key free-agent signings and trades here and here. But the upheaval in the league continues apace, so I'll add a few more observations below:
• After trading for Kenny Stills to serve as their deep threat, the Dolphins traded Mike Wallace to the Vikings for late-round picks, and Minnesota released Greg Jennings (who will no doubt land somewhere else.) Wallace gives the Vikings a field stretcher who should create space for Charles Johnson, their likely No. 1 target, with quick, shifty Jarius Wright manning the slot. I'm not sure where this leaves Cordarrelle Patterson - hopefully somewhere other than Minnesota for his sake - but it helps Teddy Bridgewater who now has two big-play options for whom defenses need to account.
• Reggie Bush signed with the 49ers, and health permitting, should take third-down work away from Carlos Hyde. Kendall Hunter, should he recover from an ACL tear, is also in the mix. The question is whether the Niners will continue to be an effective running team in the post-Frank Gore/Jim Harbaugh/Mike Iupati era. Moreover, the jury is still out on Hyde who showed flashes (4.0 YPC) but didn't overwhelm in an 83-carry sample.
• Kenny Britt re-signed with the Rams, pairing with Brian Quick who had a breakout half season before dislocating his shoulder in October. Assuming Britt remains a big part of the offense (and the $4.3 million guaranteed is an indication the Rams intend that), Stedman Bailey, who came on down the stretch, stands to lose targets. Say what you will about Nick Foles' downgrade in offensive systems, but he has some weapons with which to work, especially if the team ever figures out how to integrate Tavon Austin.
• Percy Harvin signed with the Bills, presumably pairing him with Sammy Watkins, though Robert Woods and Chris Hogan had their moments last year too. Recent acquisition LeSean McCoy is a capable pass catcher out of the backfield, and tight end Charles Clay is likely to sign soon, giving Matt Cassel better options than he's had since taking over for Tom Brady in 2008.
