- The big news Monday was that Josh Gordon was placed on the non-football injury list and left the Browns. Gordon tweeted out that this absence was part of his treatment plan to maintain his health. There's no evidence he failed a drug test or violated some policy so it would appear no suspension is in his future. This looks to be some scheduled maintenance for the talented wideout as he prepares for the upcoming season. This shouldn't impact his draft status for now; he's currently going around pick #50 in fantasy drafts.
- Malcolm Mitchell of the Patriots was talked about early in the day as a trade candidate and then it was announced he underwent a procedure for his knee and isn't expected to be ready for the start of camp. It sounds like a bag of peanuts would be accepted in a trade for him at this point and he could ultimately be released if a trading partner isn't found. With Julian Edelman suspended the first four games of the season, the No.3 wide receiver spot is up for grabs with Chris Hogan and Jordan Matthews likely starting on the outside.
- Leonard Fournette is down to 223 lbs., or so he says. The rookie back played last season with in the 230s so it'll be interesting to see if the loss of weight helps his speed. He'll again be counted on as a workhorse back and the loss of weight could help increase a less-than-mediocre 3.9 yard per carry.
- LeSean McCoy will report to training camp Wednesday. He's seen his ADP drop since an incident a few weeks ago where he was accused of orchestrating a robbery and assault in a house he owns. However, there have been no charges filed against him and he has denied any wrongdoing in the case. While it's a horrible situation for the woman assaulted, at this point it appears McCoy will go about business as usual and could face no suspension from the incident. The NFL could place him on the Exempt List to start the season if the investigation isn't complete but it's early to speculate on that scenario. The decision to put McCoy on the Exempt List is up to Roger Goodell and the amount of time there is also up to him.
- David Johnson reported to camp Monday and Odell Beckham is expected to be present at the start of camp. Both are seeking out lucrative deals and are coming off injuries that cost them most of their respective seasons. Neither will hold out and with both back to 100 percent they will be top-10 picks in most fantasy drafts.
