On Monday morning we drafted the RotoWire Vegas League, a 14-team, non-PPR draft with the RotoWire staff. I drew pick six. Here are the results:
.6 Kareem Hunt - As a Giants fan, I was hoping to get Saquon Barkley, but he went one pick ahead of me. I was happy to settle for Hunt who I took ahead of Alvin Kamara and Antonio Brown in the non-PPR format. Hunt is young, healthy, versatile and playing in an ostensibly good offense.
.9 Keenan Allen - I don't like him as much in non-PPR, but he's a high-volume receiver in another good offense.
.6 Rob Gronkowski - Still the best red-zone target in the NFL, Gronk is far more valuable in non-PPR.
.9 Mark Ingram - He'd be a second-round pick were he not suspended, and he could be more valuable than Kamara in non-PPR when he comes back.
.6 Marshawn Lynch - I needed a steady early-down back for the first four weeks while Ingram is out.
.9 Aaron Jones - He's suspended for two games, but he has a good chance to be the starter when he comes back. If that's the case, the sky's the limit with Aaron Rodgers running the offense.
.6 Jarvis Landry - He's much better in PPR, but Landry should get north of 100 targets and potentially some goal-line looks.
.9 Kenny Golladay - Big play weapon whose ceiling is limited if Marvin Jones and Golden Tate stay healthy.
.6 D.J. Moore - Speedy, physical rookie receiver who could carve out a big role right away.
.9 Rams Defense - They project as a top unit and draw the Seahawks and Cardinals four times.
.6 Stephen Gostkowski - If you want an indicator of how deep the QB position is this season, consider I took a kicker ahead of my signal caller in a 14-team league.
.9 Matt Ryan - I missed Jared Goff, my target, but I settled for the 2016 MVP.
.6 Lamar Jackson - Just in case Joe Flacco falls on his face in camp, I took Jackson, arguably the best rushing QB in the NFL.
.9 Eric Ebron - He just seemed like a value there, and I can use a second-TE in the flex if needed.
.6 Terrelle Pryor - He produced on the Browns, so he can produce on the Jets. Forget about last year, he was playing hurt.
.6 Baker Mayfield - I'll can cut him and/or Jackson before Week 1, but the Browns have weapons for Mayfield if he wins the job.
