Ryan Williams (knee) will miss the preseason opener, although the Cardinals aren't concerned about it. Williams is sure to be ready for Week 1, and is solidified in an important role backing up the fragile Beanie Wells.
Greg Salas is the leading candidate to begin the season as Sam Bradford's top deep threat. However, his value might be determined by new OC Brian Schottenheimer, who isn't exactly known for airing it out.
Ben Roethlisberger (rotator cuff) has not looked hampered by his slight tear at all in camp, according to the Steelers. Big Ben is known for battling through injuries, and any worries about him should stem more from the ongoing Mike Wallace holdout.
Taiwan Jones is the favorite to begin the season as Darren McFadden's backup. He has been taking second team reps all week, and his competition, Mike Goodson, injured his hamstring. McFadden is one of the most injury prone players in the league, so Jones could be in for plenty of carries.
Michael Crabtree (calf) missed his fifth straight practice, and there is still no timetable set for his return. This certainly doesn't help Crabtree's value, which is already dropping with Vernon Davis, Randy Moss and Mario Manningham competing for receptions.
