Just a few things that caught my eye:
- Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool Joel Quennville four times? Shame on the organization. Zdeno Chara was in the dressing room with a skate issue for at least four shifts and Quennville failed to get Jonathan Toews on the ice for any of them. How does that happen with today's technology?
- Tuukka Rask. Wow. Great game, but "the ice gets sh$^|PERCENT| at the ends of periods"? NBC's Pierre McGuire seems to inspire swearing, eh? Andrew Shaw got him at the end of Game 1, too.
- A big deal was made about a Marian Hossa injury that "must" have happened during warm-ups. So why was Ben Smith told -- in the afternoon -- to be ready for Monday night's game? #preexisting injury
- Patrice Bergeron is a big-game player. I still can't believe he was able to handle that Jaromir Jagr rocket pass on the PP goal. Nice.
- Daniel Paille, Tyler Seguin and Chris Kelly are redefining third line.
- Jonathan Toews has to be hurt. The CBC camera caught a glimpse of him laboring on the bench after that smack by Zdeno Chara. He labored from that point on and he seemed to be favoring his left hand/arm/shoulder? Uh-oh.
- And here I thought Bryan McCabe was the ultimate rag doll. Nope. Bryan Bickell has taken his place ... all 223 lbs of him. Man, Chara is a beast.
- I have to keep going on Chara. Is he the next Chris Pronger? Discuss.
- Will David Krecji hang on to the Conn Smythe if Tuukka Rask keeps playing like this? Not in my books.
- Will reigning Vezina winner Sergei Bobrovsky bolt to the KHL this summer? His post-win quote was, "we'll see." Can the glass be half full with a comment like that?
