Angels at Twins - Scott Diamond has been called up to face Haren. Good luck with that as Diamond is nothing spectular, but more of a filler. The trend is 81|PERCENT| of the betting public is taking the Angels money line.
TV's Take: Angels -175/ Bet $350 for an easy $200.
Braves at Cubs - I love Dempster in this game. He has been solid all year despite getting the lowest run production per start. Delgado has a 5.14 ERA while Dempster has a Verlander like 0.95 ERA! I am going to play this one safe as Heyward is heating up.
TV's Take: Cubs -105/Bet $105 for $100.
Tigers at Seattle - Verlander takes the hill vs Millwood. This has major sucker bet written all over it until you consider this fact. The Tigers are 10-0 since July 2011 when Verlander takes the hill as a road favorite of -140 or higher (Vegas Insider). The line is -185. Millwood should have retired a few years back as his 5.34 ERA suggest. I am 100|PERCENT| in on a game that should be close to as good as last night's but I will say the Mariners are a better hitting team than the Twins.
TV's Take: Tigers -185/Bet $370 for an easy $200.
Mets at Phillies - I despise Joe Blanton and can not buy into the assumption he has found his stuff. He sports a 2.83 ERA and a solid WHIP of 1.06. However, I am going with the big dogs and one Miguel Batista. Yes, that was not a misprint. My thought is this will be a high scoring game that will come down to the bullpens.
TV's Take: Mets +170/Bet $50 to win $85.
Red Sox at Royals - Can the Red Sox find some starting pitching? The decline of the Red Sox staff is one of the stories of the year. Even Lester has pitched like a 3rd starter. Bard and his 4.38 ERA and 1.54 WHIP face a good hitting club in KC that will take off soon. I really like the kid Duffy pitching for KC today. He sports a 3.57 ERA and a 1.37 WHIP. However, the Red Sox and Ortiz are swining the bats too well to bet against. Lets go with the O 8.5 today and enjoy the game as the Over hits by the 6th inning.
TV's Take: O 8.5 +105/Bet $100 to win $105.
GOOD LUCK!
